beware -- this is a corded light

This is NOT direct-wire, it has a cord. That being said, I was able to direct-wire this light (after purchasing extra parts) and it was perfect for my purposes.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This fixture is listed as a wall sconce and is actually a table lamp. it is not hardwired and there is no way to affix it to a wall to use it as a wall sconce. i am very disappointed because now i have to find a replacement fixture.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
